I'm an AI/ML engineer in the SF Bay Area specializing in decision-making for autonomous systems. Previously, I did academic research at the intersection of reinforcement learning and motion planning under uncertainty, working on algorithms for robot arms and drones. I currently develop large-scale ML algorithms for behavioral planning at a self-driving car company — maneuver planning, lane changes, traffic light responses — to keep autonomous vehicles safe, comfortable, and legal.
Outside of engineering, I play musical instruments, read widely, play board games, and spend time in nature.
